A bit of a light bulb moment for your seed snacking on the move!
These seed bars are quick and easy to make and bursting with energy, flavour, crunch and fibre. Great as a snack in your packed lunch, a breakfast bar on the go or just a pick-me-up at any time of the day.
We’ve used our Totally Tropical Breakfast Booster mix for these but you could use any of our other mixes too.
Makes approx 10 bars.
Ingredients:
375g (or 3 x 125g pouches) of Totally Tropical Seeds
1 tsp vanilla essence
2 tbsp date molasses (or golden syrup, or honey, or a mix)
Method:
Line a 23cm flapjack tin with baking parchment. Set the oven to fan 160C.
In a bowl, empty all the seeds and stir in the vanilla essence with the date molasses. Stir really well until thoroughly mixed through. Press well into the tin (we use a wet spatula) and try to get as even a spread as you can.
Bake for 20 minutes, check that it is golden brown (or just slightly darker) then remove from the oven. It might need a few more minutes depending on your oven. Leave to completely cool, then slice into bars and enjoy. Keep them sealed for at least a week in a Tupperware or tin.
